Sitecore puts their Sales Kick Off at employees’ finger tips

Sitecore Sales Kick Off 2025 aimed to energize, align, and empower their global sales team of over 400 in just three short days. I worked with the Sitecore events team to ensure attendees, including key Sitecore leaders, employees, sponsors, and partners, got the specific information when they needed it. 

It was my first time using the event platform Swoogo and the mobile event app Amego. With both platforms integrated, the team provided a streamlined experience that elevated Sales Kick Off to the next dimension. 

I built and managed the event agenda, content pages tailored for each audience type, and email communications on Swoogo. Amego, integrated with Swoogo, pushed that same content to attendees’ phones via a dedicated app. It made keeping up with event details and updates seamless. As a plus and for the first time ever, Sitecore was able to offer a game for attendees to play via the mobile app.

Event site on Swoogo

One of the significant improvements for Sales Kick Off was the use of the Know Before You Go (KBYG) page on Swoogo. Previously, Sitecore shared a KBYG PDF a few days beforehand. Unable to make changes, as they happen during events, sending out a static PDF often leads to outdated versions, multiple PDFs out in the wild, and frustration amongst attendees.
I suggested using Swoogo's visibility rules on the event content pages to create separate pages for Employees and Sponsors so that we could put the relevant information for each attendee type at their fingertips. With the KBYG pages now online, the events team was able to update the information as needed.

Email design

Branded emails are a must for every event. Swoogo made this easy with their out-of-the-box emails, which you can easily tailor. Sitecore opted to provide its own branded template, which I designed and built.

For the first time, Sitecore offered a mobile app for its Sales Kick Off. The app gave the events team two new ways to engage with attendees: Gamification and push notifications.

Gamification included in-app actions to encourage users to get familiar with the app, and via QR code scans. I designed a scavenger-hunt-based game that required attendees to participate in activities, network with key Sitecore leaders, and attend various types of sessions. Among an incredibly competitive audience, the game was a huge success.
I had a blast working the prize table, seeing attendees' reactions to the game from the beginning all the way through to the end of the event, where many fought to be top of the leaderboard and win the big prize of 2025: A Labubu plushie.

Push notifications were a breeze to schedule and set up. The team even pushed out an urgent notification on the fly.
